My journey started in 2017 while curating a booth for a local antique show, which needed a name and staging. The name Hen Picked was given, as my sister-in-law and I were two hens “picking” going to barn sales and gathering the best furnishings we could find!

My paintings were used to soften and add whimsy to the beautifully worn collections and vignettes we were creating. Simply put, the art was being sought after and the antiques were heavy, making the decision to scale the endeavor down and focus on painting easy. And so it began, using my love for old items that so often tell a story, as inspiration for the paintings that have become my own story.
